EtsyMan is operated by VARØ Industries. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what we do not do.

Free Tools (No Account Required)

The following tools run entirely in your browser. No data is sent to our servers:

• Etsy Fee Calculator
• Etsy Profit Calculator
• Listing Character Counter & Optimizer
• Etsy Shop Name Checker

The Shop ID Lookup tool sends your shop name to our server, which forwards it to the Etsy API to return your shop ID. No data is logged or stored.

The Listing Backup & Export tool (public version) accepts your Etsy API credentials in a form submission, uses them to fetch your listings from Etsy, and immediately streams the result back to you as a JSON file. Your credentials and listings are never written to disk or stored in any database.

Authenticated Accounts (EtsyMan App)

If you create an account, we store the following in our database:

• Email address — used to identify your account and deliver daily roundup emails if you enable them.
• Encrypted Etsy API credentials — your Etsy API key, OAuth access token, and refresh token are encrypted at rest using AES-256 (Fernet). We decrypt them only when making API calls on your behalf.
• Integration settings — KnotDo URL/key and NoteSmith API key, if you choose to connect those services. These are also stored encrypted.

We do not store your Etsy listing data, order data, messages, or reviews on our servers beyond what is briefly held in memory to serve a single response.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell, share, or rent your data to any third party.
• We do not use advertising networks or tracking pixels.
• We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics service.
• We do not store payment information of any kind.

Cookies

For authenticated users, we set a single em_session cookie containing a signed session token. It is HttpOnly, Secure, and expires after 7 days. No third-party cookies are set.

Data Retention

Your account and encrypted credentials remain in our database until you request deletion. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at varo.industries/contact.

Third-Party Services

When you use EtsyMan, requests are made to the Etsy API on your behalf. Your use of the Etsy API is subject to Etsy's Privacy Policy. EtsyMan is not affiliated with Etsy, Inc.

Security

All connections to EtsyMan use HTTPS. Sensitive credentials are encrypted at rest. We follow standard security practices but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

EtsyMan is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Changes take effect when posted to this page. Continued use of EtsyMan after changes constitutes acceptance.
